About Marla Landa

Marla has spent most of her life in the Bay Area, where she first arrived as an undergraduate at UC Berkeley. She is now a career-changer on a mission to empower others to live their best lives through financial planning.

With over 17 years in the tech industry, Marla brings a unique perspective to financial planning, especially for clients with tech equity such as ISOs, NSOs, RSUs, and ESPP. As an early employee at both Yelp and Asana, she experienced each company’s journey from early funding rounds to going public through an IPO and Direct Listing.

Her commitment to financial planning is deeply personal. Growing up with immigrant parents facing serious health challenges, Marla took on financial responsibilities early, fostering a lifelong appreciation for financial literacy, security, and wealth-building. She has also navigated the complexities of divorce, which reinforced her resilience and adaptability. These experiences have shaped her empathetic approach to helping clients manage life’s financial challenges.

Marla is also passionate about Estate Planning, viewing it as an opportunity to help clients protect their loved ones and secure their legacies. At the same time, she is equally dedicated to guiding clients in building strong financial foundations and reimagining what’s possible for their futures.

In her free time, Marla enjoys running, dancing, traveling (she has visited ~40 countries), and expanding her knowledge as a lifelong learner with an insatiable curiosity about the world.
